Nanded City and District Population

Nanded is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the second-largest city after Aurangabad in the Marathwada subdivision. It’s one of the major destinations for Sikh pilgrims. Together with Waghala City, it is governed by The Nanded-Waghala City Municipal Corporation and thus also known as Nanded-Waghala City.

The initial provisional data released by census India 2011, shows that the density of Nanded for 2011 is 8700 people per sq. km. Nanded city administers area is 63.22 sq. km

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of  Nanded City in 2011 was 85.93%. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy was 90.58% and 80.95% respectively. Total literate in Nanded city was 411,866 of which  224,327  are males while 187,539 are females.
