The initial provisional data released by Census India 2011, shows that the density of Jabalpur for 2011 is 8170 people per sq. km. Jabalpur city administers area is 129.20 sq. km

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of Jabalpur City in 2011 was 87.39 %. If things are looked at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 90.78 % and  83.77 %. respectively. The total literate in Jabalpur city was  825,006 of which  442,075 are males while  382,931 are females.

SEX RATIO
