Religion in Paraguay

Christianity is the majority religion in Paraguay,  among Christians in Uruguay, Catholics have the most adherents followed by Protestants. 88.3% of the population followed Roman Catholicism; 6.8 % Protestantism; and 0.9%% Mormon. The other religious population is at 0.5% % and 3.1% are Unaffiliated or have No religion.

Ethnic composition in Paraguay

Paraguay has a diverse population and the vast majority of people are mestizo (of mixed European and Indian ancestry). Most of them are of Guaraní descent, with the admixture of European ancestry. Immigrants have come from Western Europe, particularly Germany, Italy, and Spain, and from Japan, China (Hong Kong), South Korea, and Taiwan.  Indigenous makeup about 2% of Paraguay’s population and small percentage of population is of African descent.
