Religion in Barbados
Barbados is a Christian-majority country and 95% of the population adheres to Christianity. The largest denomination is Anglican (23.9%), Pentecostals (19.5%), the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Spiritual Baptists. and smaller Protestant churches. Other Christian denominations are Catholic Church (4%) and Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Non-Christian faiths account for 1.16% and include Islam, Hinduism, Baháʼí Faith, Jews, and African traditional faiths. The remaining 3.84% are classified as unaffiliated, which can mean agnostic, atheist, or “nothing in particular.”

Barbados ethnic composition
The majority of the population in this region consists of people of African or mixed African-European descent, with over 90% of the population belonging to these groups. A small portion of the population is of European descent (mainly British), and there is an even smaller number of people who originated from the Indian subcontinent. The community also has small groups of Syrians, Lebanese, and Chinese.
