Rewa is a city in the northeastern part of Madhya Pradesh state in India. The city lies about 420 kilometres northeast of the state capital Bhopal and 230 kilometres north of the city of Jabalpur.

As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Rewa City in 2011 was 235,422 (2.35 Lakhs) of which the male population was 124,634 and the female population was 110,788.

The initial provisional data released by Census India 2011, shows that the density of Rewa for 2011 is 3412 people per sq. km. Rewa city administers area is 69 sq. km

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of Rewa City in 2011 was 87.74 %. If things are looked at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 92.91 % and 81.95%. respectively. Total literate in Rewa city was 185,291 of which 103,599 are males while 81,692 are females.

SEX RATIO
