As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Davanagere City in 2011 is 435,128 (4.35 Lakhs) of which the male population is 220,544 and the female population is 214,584


The initial provisional data released by census India 2011, shows that the density of Davanagere for 2011 is 5700 people per sq. km. Davanagere city administers area is 77 sq. km
