Tuvalu formerly known as the Ellice Islands is an island country in the Polynesian subregion of Oceania in the Pacific Ocean. Its islands are situated about midway between Hawaii and Australia. As per the World Population Prospects, 2019 by the United Nations, the population of  Tuvalu  in 2020 is 11,792 (12 thousand)
