Karnal City and District Population

Karnal is a city in the state of Haryana, India. It was part of the National Capital Region (NCR) and at a distance of 131 Km from Delhi. The city of Karnal, said to have been founded by Raja Karna, of Mahabharata fame, sprang into prominence in 1739 when Nadir Shah defeated Muhammad Shah at Karnal. As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Karnal City in 2011 was 2,86,827 (2.87 Lakh)

As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Karnal City in 2011 was 2,86,827 (2.87 Lakhs) of which the male population was 1,51,287 and the female population was 1,35,540
