Alwar is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The city is at approx 150 kms south of Delhi and 150 km north of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Its a tourist city with many forts, lakes, heritage havelis and nature reserves, including the Bhangarh Fort, the Sariska Tiger Reserve and Siliserh lake.

As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Alwar City in 2011 is 315,310 (3.16 Lakhs) of which the male population is 166,900 and the female population is 148,410

The initial provisional data released by census India 2011, shows that the density of Alwar district for 2011 is 438 people per sq. km. 

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of Alwar City in 2011 was 86.78 %. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy was 93.72 % and 79.05%. respectively. Total literate in Alwar city was 243,634 of which 138,737 are males while 104,897  are females.

SEX RATIO

With regards to the Sex Ratio in Alwar, it stood at 889 per 1000 males. The average national sex ratio in India is 940 as per the latest reports of Census 2011 Directorate. In the 2011 census, the child sex ratio is 833 girls per 1000 boys

CHILD POPULATION
