Seychelles, officially the Republic of Seychelles, is an archipelagic island country in the Indian Ocean at the eastern edge of the Somali Sea. Nearby island countries and territories include the Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, and the French overseas departments of Mayotte and Réunion to the south; and the Maldives and the Chagos Archipelago (administered by the United Kingdom as British Indian Ocean Territory) to the east. 

It consists of 115 islands and has the smallest population of any sovereign African country. As per the World Population Prospects, 2019 by the United Nations, the population of Seychelles  in 2023 is 107,660 (1.07 lakh)

Religion in Seychelles

Seychelles is a Christian-majority country and 89.20% of people follow Christianity. Among Christians 76.2% were Roman Catholic,  10.6% were Protestant, and other Christians at 2.4%.
