Pakistani Population in Oman 2022

Pakistan has the 6th largest diaspora in the world, with 8-10 million people living or settled outside Pakistan. As per the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and HRD report 2017, an estimated 8.8 million Pakistanis live abroad or outside Pakistan.

The Middle East has the largest Pakistanis Overseas population estimated at 4.7 million and Oman is the country with the third-largest overseas Pakistanis population in the Middle East after Saudi Arabia and UAE.  As per the estimates, the Pakistani Population in Oman in 2022 is 231,685 (2.31 lakh)

Pakistanis in Oman

Around 40% of the Oman population is made up of expats. Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that Omanis constituted 61.94 percent (2,804,117) of the total population as of the end of December 2021, compared to 38.06 expatriates (1,723,329). According to the NCSI data, 1,102,320 expats are working in the private sector while 39,306 are in the government sector. 

Pakistanis expats are the third largest expat community in Oman. Bangladeshi nationals continue to lead the number with 528,682, followed by Indians with 465,037. As per the estimates population of Pakistanis in Oman is 231,685 (2.31 lakh)
