The Ratlam police are part of the Madhya Pradesh police and are responsible for maintaining Law and Order enforcement in Ratlam District. Ratlam district comes under the Indore police zone & Ratlam Range of Madhya Pradesh Police. Ratlam Range is headed by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG). The Current DIG, Ratlam range is (IAS)

District Police of Dewas is headed by the Superintendent of Police (SP).  He is assisted by two Additional Superintendents of Police (Addl. SP) & two Deputy Superintendents of Police. The district is divided into numerous police circles, each headed by a Circle Officer. 

Police Stations in Ratlam come under the circle officer (CO). Ratlam has four Police circles Ratlam, Jaora,  Alote,  and Sailana each headed by SDOP. Ratlam District has 23 + Police Stations including one AKJ, Women and Traffic Police Station each.
