The Sagar police is part of the Madhya Pradesh police and is responsible for maintaining Law and Order enforcement in the Sagar District. Sagar district comes under the Sagar police zone & Sagar police range. Sagar Zone is headed by the Inspector General of Police (IG) & Sagar Range is headed by the DIG. District Police of Dewas is headed by the Superintendent of Police (SP). He is assisted by the SPs,2 Additional Superintendents of Police (Addl. SP), and seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs). The district is divided into numerous police circles, each headed by a Circle Officer.
