The Yamunanagar police is part of the Haryana police and responsible for maintaining Law and Order enforcement in Yamunanagar District and Yamunanagar City. Yamunanagar district police come under the Ambala police range of Haryana Police. Ambala range is headed by the IGP. 

District Police of Yamunanagar is headed by the Superintendent of Police (SP).  He is assisted by the Seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP). Yamunanagar District Police is further divided into different divisions & each division is headed by a Senior Office that looks after 3-4 Police Stations.
