The Ambala police is part of the Haryana police & responsible for maintaining Law and Order enforcement in Ambala District & Ambala City. Ambala district police come under the Amabala police range of Haryana Police and Ambala range is headed by the IGP.
District Police of Ambala is headed by the Superintendent of Police (SP). He is assisted by Additional Superintendents of Police Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP ) and ten Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).
Ambala District Police is further divided into different divisions & each division is headed by a Senior Officer. Each police station is headed by SHO/Police Inspector. Each Police Station has 2-3 Police posts under it headed by SI.
