Iceland is a Nordic island country in the North Atlantic Ocean. It’s the most sparsely populated country in Europe. As per Statistics Island, the population of Iceland as of 1 January 2022 is 376,248 ( 37.6 lakh) and according to UN World population estimates, Its 2026 population is estimated at 382,260 people.

Religion in Iceland
Christianity is the majority religion in Iceland and 73.76% of the Icelandic people are Christians. Amon Christians most of them belong to the Church of Iceland, a Lutheran church. Small free Lutheran churches were 4.715, Catholics 4.71 were 3.97%, and a further 7.51% of the Icelanders were adherents of some other Christian denomination.
Other religions account for 4% of the population and 7.57% are Unaffiliated and the other 15% are unspecified.
