Mira-Bhayandar is a city and municipal corporation in Thane district & shares a border with North Mumbai. Its administered by Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC). Newly formed Mira Bhayander, Vasai Virar Police Commissionerate which is part of the Maharashtra Police is agency for maintaining law & order in Mira Bhayandar City. Earlier Mira Bhayander Police is under Thane Police, new Commisnorate is formed on October 1, 2020 & It’s headed by the commissioner of Police. Shri. Sadanand Date,IPS the first police commisoner of Mira Bhayandar.

Mira Bhayandar Police Stations

The Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar Commissionerate of Police has a total of 13 police stations – six in Mira Bhayandar and seven in Vasai-Virar. Apart from this, there will be two new police stations in Mira-Bhayander, Kharigaon and Kashigaon and five new police stations in Vasai-Virar namely Pelhar, Achole, Mandvi, Boling and Naigaon. These will have five DCPs and there will be one zone in Mira Bhayandar and two zones in Vasai-Virar. The list of Police stations is as follows
