Jaipur City Police is responsible for Law & Order and traffic management of Jaipur City. In view of increasing urbanization, growing population, rapid industrialization, growing traffic & tourism the Police Commissioner system was implemented in Jaipur city in 2011.
A Commissioner of Police heads Jaipur City Police. He is assisted by 2 Additional Police commissioners, 8 Deputy Police Commissioners, 16 Additional DCPs & 42 Asst. Police Commissioners. Jaipur Police is divided into four Zones i.e, North, West, East & South. Besides law & order, it has crime, metro & Traffic divisions.
