The Satna police is part of the Madhya Pradesh police and is responsible for maintaining Law and Order enforcement in SatnaDistrict. Satna district comes under the Rewa police zone/range. Rewa zone is headed by the Inspector General of Police (IG).  District Police of Satana is headed by the Superintendent of Police (SP).  He is assisted by the Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP), CSP, and five Deputy Superintendents of Police. The district is divided into numerous police circles, each headed by a Circle Officer.
