The Raipur police is part of the Chhattisgarh Police and is responsible for maintaining Law and Order enforcement in Raipur District and Raipur City. Raipur district comes under the Raipur police range of Chhattisgarh Police. Raipur Range is headed by the Inspector General of Police (IG). District Police of Raipur is headed by the Superintendent of Police (SP). He is assisted by the Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SPs) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSPs).
The district is further divided into police circles/ subdivisions, each headed by a CSP/SDPO. Raipur district has 6 subdivisions i.e. Civil Lines, kotwali, Mana Azad Chowk, Urla & Purani Basti. Each subdivision is headed by CSP/SDOP. Raipur Poice has a total of 32 police stations under it.
