Rajkot City Police is part of the Gujrat Police & is the agency responsible for maintaining Law and Order & traffic in Rajkot City. Earlier Rajkot city and Rajkot rural are under one division only. Now Rajkot City Police has Commissionerate System of Police and is headed by the Commissioner of the Police.
The Commissioner of Police is assisted by One Joint Police Commissioner, Two Deputy Commissioner of Police & Seven Assistant Commissioner Of Police.
Rajkot City Police is divided into two zones i.e. Zone 1 and Zone 2. It’s further divided into East, West, North & Southern Divisions having 12 Police Stations under it. Each division is headed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police. Besides Law & Order Police Stations Rajkot Police has other branches i.e., Crime, Traffic, Passport, Women, SC/ST, Cyber crime, etc.
