As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Warangal City in 2011 is 6,15,998 (6.15 Lakhs) of which the male population is 3,08,509 and the female population is 3,07,489

The initial provisional data released by census India 2011, shows that the density of Warangal for 2011 is 2000 people per sq. km. The Warangal city administers an area is 406 sq. km

LITERACY RATE

The average literacy rate of Warangal City in 2011 was 83.30 % If things are looked out at gender-wise, male and female literacy was 90.39% and 76.22% respectively. The total literate in Warangal city was 463,801 of which 251,406 are males while 212,395 are females.
