Mizoram is a state in the northeastern region of India. It is the 2nd least populous state in the country. Mizoram was previously part of Assam, In 1972 It became the 23rd state of India on 20 February 1987. As per provisional reports of Census India, the population of  Mizoram in 2011 is 1,097,206 (10.97 lakh) and the estimated population of Mizoram in 2024 is 1,250,000 (12.5 lakh)
